Weekend Box Office: The Boss Takes Charge of Number One, Hardcore Henry Wipes Out


They write, he directs, she stars. It was a model that worked pretty well for spouse collaborators Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy when they partnered up for Tammy. Their second project, The Boss, which debuted this weekend, managed to do a little bit better at the box office. The Boss opened at number one, banking an estimated $23 million, a small step up from Tammy's $21 million start in 2014.
